Requirements

  1. A Nilan Heat pump with
    • CTS 602 board
    • firmware version being at least 1.2.6.0
  2. A correctly installed and configured RS485-TCP Gateway described here
  3. A Fibaro Home Center 3 with software version 5.170.16 or greater.
  4. Connecting all the above to the same network so that they can see each other.

Installation

  1. Download QuickApp from here.

  2. Log into your Home Center as Admin.

  3. Install the QuickApp:

    a) Go to Settings -> Devices -> Add device

    b) Choose “Other Device”

    c) Upload file with .fqax extension.

  4. Now you can see the installed Quickapp in your device list. Optionally you can upload the icon set, too.

  5. Set the corresponding QuickApp variables to the host IP and port number of your RS485-TCP Gateway.
    a) Variables -> Edit host

    b) Set value (optionally you can also setup other variables)

    c) You have to save the updated variables

  6. Click on the eye icon to see App Preview and check if the connection between the Home Center and your device has been estabilished correctly. If so, you can see informations retrieved from your Heat Pump. The most important is the Software version that must be at least 1.2.6.0. If your version is lower than this, please request a software update from Nilan support.

  7. If (and only if) you can see the right informations in the preview, the configuration was successful and you can proceed to the next sections.
